The Story So Far

Glocal Films UK made its international debut at the 78th Cannes Film Festival (2025), where the motion poster of Baghuni – Dance Like a Tiger was unveiled at the prestigious Bharat Pavilion. The film is produced in association with the National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) and Cinema4Good.

The announcement marked a historic moment — the first Odia language NFDC film to receive such international platform recognition in over 23 years, positioned at one of the world's most important film festivals.

About the Founders

Partha Sarathi Panda · Producer

Originally from Jagatsinghpur, Odisha, and based in London, Partha is a cultural entrepreneur whose professional background in workforce solutions (founder of Can-Do Personnel and Majoris Solutions Limited) gave him the commercial understanding to build a production company capable of operating at an international level. His passion for Odia culture and cinema drives his mission to give regional stories a global home.

Jitendra Mishra · Director & Writer

From Titlagarh, Odisha. President of CIJEF (International Centre of Films for Children and Young People), Jitendra is among India's most critically respected independent filmmakers. His previous films include I Am Kalam and The Last Color. He has served as a jury member at over 40 international film festivals, including Cannes, Berlin, and Toronto.
